The Stone sparrows have combined their diverse backgrounds in classical, funk, soul, blues, jazz, bluegrass and folk into a unique sound all their own. They provide interesting twists on classic instrumental styles, with soulful lyrics that feel at once comfortable and fresh. Their sound is equally at home in laid-back outdoor music festivals as it is in some of the finest live music venues in a downtown setting. Originally from Bowmanville Ontario, the band is now partly based in Toronto, and can be seen playing well attended shows at the Horseshoe Tavern, Graffitt's, and soon the Dakota.
