The Recroom have been creating rock and roll from the confines of suburbia, just east of Toronto.
In 2007 they’re debut album Wake Up the City received acclaim both at campus radio and in the press where it was given a 4-star review from Toronto’s Eye Weekly Magazine. Drawing from other Canadian indie acts like the Constantines, Arcade Fire, and Thrush Hermit, the band’s unique appeal hinges on the duality of their rustic and edgy sounds, and Game’s mesmerizing voice which has drawn comparisons to Emily Haines (Metric), Liz Powell (Land of Talk), and Jolie Holland.

They've shared the stage with the likes of the Mark Inside and Cuff the Duke, among others. Their live performances continue to capture the growing audience’s ears, souls and feet as they dance, cheer, and spill beer. The Recroom are a raw and energizing rock trio ready to rise above the seedy underbelly of ShwaRockCity and shine among the Northern Lights.
