Get Bent at the Shwa-ltz September 13 @ Memorial Park, Oshawa

The Shwaltz is an all-day independent festival featuring some of Durham region's finest musical talent, and this year Get Bent has three artists performing. The Micronite Filters will be on at 1:40pm, while the Recroom will play at 9:50pm. Jeff Leech will make a speical guest appearance. Get Bent gets busy

This fall will see the edition of a few new friends to the get bent family, including Jeff Leech (below), the Newfabels, and Lady of the Valley. More surprises are in store as well.

Jeff Leech's music and artwork have graced local Durham region stages for the past few years. He is currently working on a full-length album with the bent bros. which will be available later this fall. Visit Jeff online to hear some earlier recordings at myspace.com/jeffleech

Lady of the Valley hail from Bracebridge, Ontario, and make aggressive harmonic rock. Their debut EP Buildings is available now, you can listen to it here

Get Bent intern opportunities

This fall we are offering an intern/co-op program to help us spread the word about get bent. If you are in a music business, or marketing-related program, we are looking for enthusiastic students to work with us. You will get hands-on experience with a small independent label promoting bands from your own community, and see what it takes to build a label from the ground up. Its better than fetching coffee and donuts for the big guys. If you aren't from the Durham region, don't hesitate to contact us, there's lots of work that can be done from your own home.
