Get Bent Records is a boutique music label brewing under the smoke-stacks of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. We focus on the grass-roots development of local/regional independent musicians sharing in our do-it-yourself attitude, ethical philosophy, and penchant for high-fidelity sound.

Over the last 4+ years we have developed and supported a list of widely talented independent bands and artists from the Durham Region and surrounding areas in Southern Ontario, including The Micronite Filters, The BoneDevil, The Stone Sparrows, The Recroom, BradleyBoy MacArthur, Jeff Leech, Ron Warne, the DGB and more.

Strongly entrenched in our philosophy is a belief in high-fidelity sound recordings (over heavily compressed audio formats such as mp3’s). If you don't know why mp3's suck, read this . We have our own independent web-store to properly distribute high-fidelity digital downloads.
We also love full albums as an art form, which our store also provides - full album downloads that include high-fedility audio, and PDF's of album artwork. Lastly, we strongly believe in artist compensation. Having our own webstore allows us to avoid middle-men and provide direct compensation to the artists for the work they put their heart and soul into.

   Its the year 2012, and due to the lack of vision in mainstream music, the world is heading underground to find the great artists of today. We're constantly working hard to expose the wealth of homegrown talent in Durham Region and beyond. With new partnerships and artists coming aboard, the breakthrough is imminent.
